Every family has traditions. Some of them are big, annual events, like that special meal on your favorite holiday. Others seem smaller, like bedtime stories and inside jokes, but even those daily details help build lasting memories.
Our new Family Traditions is the perfect way to celebrate those memories and we’re giving away three, just in time for the holidays.

This is such a great idea. I am so in the present moment that as my daughter has gone from little kid to nearly adult, I’ve forgotten about some of the wonderful things we all did together as a family. Alas, when they become teenagers they don’t want to do those things anymore – at least not with mom and dad!
This journal is not only a sweet-sad reminder, but can also serve to rekindle some past traditions, and perhaps be valuable as our children become parents.
Aww, great giveaway. Unfortunately, my family doesn’t put personal photos online or participate in social media.
Will you please consider a general entry form for people like us? 🙂
What a great book, I can’t believe how fast my kids have grown up and how quickly I forget those moments.

My brother Al and his wife, Lora just adopted four beautiful children.
These children are actually the neices and nephew to Al and Lora on her side.
They had been through some horrific times that you would say were unfathomable by their birth parents. It is seriously a Lifetime movie and just awful.
My sister-in-law took these children in and showed them pure and simple love that they never even knew existed over the last 3 and a half years. The adoption was just finalized this last week and my cup runneth over with pride and love for them all. My brother and his wife are amazing and the children are so incredibly blessed to have them for their parents. I am even more blessed to have the children in my life! They inspire me!
I cannot wait to introduce them to our “Schmidt” traditions and have already welcomed them with open arms. I met them for the first time this weekend and fell in love, individually with all four of them.
This book would be absolutely perfect! They are 5, 7, 9 and 11 and while I believe they will remember the actual gavel being slammed when they were sworn in and adopted legally, this book could be the beginning to their new future as well. Every new beginning comes from some other new beginning’s end and their future is looking bright!
I cannot wait to hug each and every one of them every chance that I get!
